Trey Wood joined Turner Wood & Smith Insurance in 2008 as a Commercial Insurance Specialist. He has earned the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) professional designation and the professional designation of Certified Worker’s Compensation Advisor, or CWCA. This designation is received after completion of the CWCA’s thirteen section study and exam covering all facets of worker’s compensation. Certified WorkComp Advisors are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide significant benefits to any employer. He also serves on the Young Agents of Georgia Board of Directors of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia.

He is a graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned his business degree in Risk Management & Insurance, with additional study at the Selective Insurance School. A third generation member of the Wood family to serve in the company, Trey Wood also carries on the family’s commitment to community service. He is actively involved in the Gainesville Jaycees and their annual Mule Camp Market, the United Way of Hall County and their Young Leaders organization, the Trellis Society of the Medical Center Foundation of the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, and is a member of the Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
